It might not have escaped your attention that blog posts have been a bit thin on the ground over the last week. Yeah, sorry about that but my attention has been caught up with other stuff. I am and have been since the late 80’s an avid gamer. From the tape loading days of the Commodore 64, through the 16-bit wars between Nintendo and SEGA right up to my recently purchased of a shiny new Xbox. You name it I have probably played it. If then you are fanboy like me then you no doubt know that Christmas for us nerds happens in June each year as the E3 expo rolls into town. Don’t know what E3 is? Let me explain.
For those not in the know the Electronic Entertainment Expo (commonly known as E3) is an annual trade show for the computer and video games industry presented by the Entertainment Software Association. It is used by many video game developers to show off their upcoming games and game-related hardware. It is widely considered to be the ultimate expo in the video game industry. Imagine if you will all the best and most exciting things you could possible imagine happening to you over the next year and then imagine that you get a week long preview of them once a year in June. In a nutshell that is what E3 is to gamers. It is our chance to drool over upcoming games and consoles. Like I said, Christmas come early.
Of course if you are not interested in gaming then no doubt you have stopped reading already so I will continue assuming that you are just as big of a geek as I am and present for your viewing pleasure my pick of the most exciting titles shown off at E3 this year. Enjoy.
For all none gamers I am sorry about the lack of posts and normal service will resume next week. That is if I can pull myself away from Mortal Kombat.
